Meet our newest addition!

Bertha, the new L&R shop cat!

If that face looks familiar, it’s because you’ve seen her around the store for the past couple of months. We were fostering her for CMHS, but Miss Bertha isn’t going anywhere any time soon (or ever) – we realized she was just too perfect, and we decided to adopt her and make her an official part of the Lizzi & Rocco’s family!

While she’s been doing an excellent job in her training period, Bertha is excited to be formally appointed to her role as shop cat extraordinaire!

Bertha is a bit on the chunky side though, so stay tuned for the official Bertha weight loss challenge! Have a pet that’s needing to shed a few pounds? Join us in getting our pets to a healthy weight!

I was SO glad to hear you adopted her! Love the name change, too. What a perfect shop cat and addition to your family. She’s a beautiful and sweet girl. She and Chino should become weight loss buddies! 😉 Congrats again to Miss Bertha!

    • Thanks Bari! We just love her to pieces. If Chino wants to join her in getting healthy, that would be awesome! We can share Chino’s success stories on the blog too!

Oh, how fun! What all are you doing for her weight loss? Diet and food change, I’m sure. You all are the perfect people for that! Lucky girl! How much does she weigh now, if you don’t mind me asking? Is she a young cat? I hardly remember having a young cat anymore. 🙂

When I got Chino back from my parents about three years ago after I graduated from college, she was weighing in at a whopping 16 lbs! Now, she’s on a strict amount of food per day and on a much healthier food (thanks to you all! 🙂 ) and weighed in at 12 lbs when I took her for her annual. She’s also leashed trained and does some supervised walking around the back yard when the weather is appropriate. Good luck to Miss Bertha! We are always open to more ideas about getting Chino to an even healthier weight!
